Hella Sachs was an artist, and wife of Julian Street, Jr. This volume was acquired along with a collection of other books from Street's personal library. Board edges faded, a couple smudges on rear board.

43, [3] pp. A brief study of the career of Jean-Baptiste Côté, who worked as a figure-head carver. Illustrated with black-and-white photographs of Cote's works, and woodcut illustrations. Barbeau, considered the founder of Canadian anthropology, was a Rhodes Scholar and advocate of the preservation and celebration of the traditions of native peoples.
